Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi Says His County Never Oppressed Jews Living There.

Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi falsely claimed on Sunday that Egypt had never persecuted Jewish people living in the country.

“You spoke about the crisis and you spoke as a Jewish person,” Sisi said to Secretary of State Antony Blinken via an interpreter. “I am an Egyptian citizen, and I was born and brought up in a neighborhood where we had Jewish neighbors. And Jews who used to live here in Egypt [did] not ever suffered from oppression and persecution.”

You see, it was extraterrestrials who build the great pyramids.
In the next part of news the Ottoman Empire never persecuted Non Muslims and was a peaceful empire.
Actually, there's no evidence that the pyramids were built by slaves or that the story of Exodus really happened.
But Jews were oppressed in modern Egypt, so the quote is still hilarious.

Yeah, that is pure horse manure. I know for a fact that Copts, Jews, and any other people not Muslim have been and are still persecuted in Egypt.

Right! So why was there a treaty to begin with in 1979?...

In a ceremony at the White House, Egyptian President Anwar el-Sadat and Israeli Prime Minister Menachem Begin sign a historic peace agreement, ending three decades of hostilities between Egypt and Israel and establishing diplomatic and commercial ties.

Less than two years earlier, in an unprecedented move for an Arab leader, Sadat traveled to Jerusalem, Israel, to seek a permanent peace settlement with Egypt’s Jewish neighbor after decades of conflict. Sadat’s visit, in which he met with Begin and spoke before Israel’s parliament, was met with outrage in most of the Arab world. Despite criticism from Egypt’s regional allies, Sadat continued to pursue peace with Begin, and in September 1978 the two leaders met again in the United States, where they negotiated an agreement with U.S. President Jimmy Carter at Camp David, Maryland. The Camp David Accords, the first peace agreement between the state of Israel and one of its Arab neighbors, laid the groundwork for diplomatic and commercial relations. Seven months later, a formal peace treaty was signed.

Please note he was born in: 19 November 1954. Friends really? When at war before he was even born? 🤷🏻‍♂️
