Hamas attacked Israel

Terrible thing to do. Detestable. However one does have to ask the question why. Was Mossad caught off guard? If so why? Or is there something else at play? Time will tell I suppose but it is very curious. Hamas is almost a controlled 'enemy' that attacks on signal so Israel looks like a victim but is there more? Just kind of curious if this isn't cover for the western powers to get out of Ukraine. Everyone knows that Russia won that war very handily and the west is hopelessly outclassed in both weapons and tactics so rather than continue to look like a clown on the world stage as NATO falls apart lets start a war with Hamas. BTW NATO is falling apart as Germany is back dealing in Russian natural gas. So much for the economic sanctions imposed on Russia.
