While racism was a part of the German Nazi party racism was also a major part of the US democratic party and the Canadian liberal party. In fact the 1930 German Nazis were considered progressives of their day. All kinds of powerful people thought they were wonderful. In fact it wasn't until the extermination camps were discovered that the left suddenly denied that the nazis were progressive like them.
