2024 presidential election...... two senile old men...... one of them will be president! 🤭

@BritishFailedAesthetic Neither one shows clinical signs of senility, but you believe what you want.

@BritishFailedAesthetic Minor slippage with age, especially in the verbal realm, is completely natural and not in any way indicative of "senility," a term which hasn't been used in a decade or more. Add to that a lifelong stuttering problem, and you can see why Biden might miss a step or two. And yes, the schedule of a US President probably demands more energy than most older (or any) people have, but that depends on the person. Biden regularly bikes. Think Trump has ever been on a bike?
I don't deny there's probably slippage going on with Biden, but I hardly think he's threatening policy.
Trump is another matter. His slope downward ahs been a very public one. He's gone from a bombastic non-stop presence to trading semi-delusional thoughts on social media. When he appears, it's as a deflated, struggling and, quite frankly, disinterested man. And what was once enough (barely) for the debate stage turned into famous gaffes, misused words, improper association of names, the inability to recall facts or properly chronologize time. He has displayed an obvious slur very indicative of mental decline. He has been unable to say the word he's trying to use, and will simply use another or say, "Look...you know what I'm talking about."
Trump boasted of his ‘30-for-30’ score on the Montreal Cognitive Assessment test. ‘You know that's risky,’ Trump said. ‘If I take it, it doesn't come out so good, they don't get rid of it. It's risky, does that make sense to people?’ Trump noted that he had to identify animal sketches at the start of the test, which he said was fairly easy. Later in the exam, Trump said he had to partake in a word recall exercise that was substantially more difficult. ‘Let me tell you, those last ten questions are hard,’ Trump said, adding, ‘There aren't a lot of people that can do that.’ That exam — which screens for Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, and other cognitive diseases in older adults — takes about 10 minutes. It's widely regarded as an early and easy way to determine whether someone is showing signs of dementia.
Between the two, I'll take a word substitution any day over actual dementia probability.

@Graylight Don't forget Biden's obsession with children touching his leg hairs in the pool.
Graylight · 51-55, F
@BritishFailedAesthetic Not an obsession. He was telling a Grampa Joe story to illustrate that he has long enjoyed children. Children learn by being tactile. And who has not had a child target a wound, scare or physical feature by wanting to touch and play with it?
The only people who read insidiousness into situations like this are the ones who have absolutely no experience in the area of child predator safety or personal experience.
When Joe Biden tells an innocent story that the public picks up like a bus full of 7th graders, reducing it to a joke that's not even funny, who's at fault there? If you really understood inappropriate behavior and criminal activity, you'd never speak of it lightly again.

@Graylight I have looked after children 🙄
Graylight · 51-55, F
@BritishFailedAesthetic That in no way qualifies you to speak about the world of sexual trauma. Lots of people take care of kids. The average teacher can't explain what ADHD is, even though he's "educated" on the matter. Teachers are taught to watch for the 'signs' of bad behavior, but they don't know any more about it that random people on the street.
@Graylight Look at the way Biden touches some kids and don't pretend you don't know the numerous scenes I am reffering too.
I will never know you but I know if some man approached your kids and did that you'd make him swallow his teeth.

@BritishFailedAesthetic Keep drinking the Kool-Aid. Biden does not touch children or adults in a sexualized way. Trump, by contrast, has already been found liable twice for sexual assault, and has admitted on tape sexually assaulting women and wanting to have sex with his daughter. There is not comparison or equivalency whatsoever.
@windinhishair The problem for you is I agree with you about Trump too.
windinhishair · 61-69, M
@BritishFailedAesthetic How is that a problem for me? Trump is clearly a sexual predator and has been for decades. Biden just as clearly is not.
windinhishair · 61-69, M
@BritishFailedAesthetic Come back when Biden is convicted of sexual assault.
