mossyboots I'm glad you're thinking about this. That is a good observation but the Bible explains that. I'm not sure you read this, so I'm posting it here again. There are mysteries of God that we're not meant to know right now, just how everything works. God concentrated on telling us the most important thing, and that was how to have a relationship with him, our sins forgiven, so that we can live eternally in heaven with him. I believe what God said in His Word. After loving and following Christ for 53 years, I do not doubt for a second that what he says is not true. The Bible is meant to tell us of his character and one wonderful thing about his character is that he cannot lie or make errors. He is trustworthy and without sin. Otherwise he could not have made atonement for our sins on the cross. This is why I believe. I love what God said in His word that he gave His Word to the world so that they wouldn't have to guess about how to be saved and many, many other things, like how to navigate life itself, successfully. It's up to us to read the Bible and study it. I didn't list all the plethora of scriptures that confirm Jesus as being God, as well as the Father being God, and the Holy Spirit being God. God works according to our faith. I'm so glad that we don't have to understand everything there is in the Bible in order to be saved. After we get to heaven, we will know just as much as God does as he will reveal everything to us then. Just because some in the world do not understand everything he has said, it does not mean what He said is not true. The spiritual world is so much different than our world. There's no figuring at all out, we just have to trust God. The
Godhead is made up of 3 Divine Persons. All always act as ONE in harmony, known as "God". Each have a different function but they all never do anything without consulting the other.
Careful Bible study shows it. He was fully man, but He was also fully God (Colossians 2:9).
The Word Made Flesh (John 1:1, 14): The Gospel of John states, "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word
was God... The Word became flesh and lived among us" (John 1:1, 14), identifying Jesus as God incarnate.
Fullness of Deity: Colossians 2:9 says, "For in Christ all the fullness of the Deity lives in bodily form".
"God with Us" (Immanuel): Matthew 1:23 calls Jesus "Immanuel," meaning "God with us," fulfilling prophecy.
Genesis 1 shows the Trinity (Father, Son/Word, and Holy Spirit) working together in bringing things into being (v. 3, 6, 9, etc.), and the plural
"Us" when creating humanity (v. 26), pointing to one God in three persons involved in creation.
Genesis 1:26: "Then God said, 'Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness...'" The use of "us" and "our" shows God speaking with other divine persons... the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, as co-creators. How They Show Unity:One God, Multiple Persons: The chapter presents one God (singular noun Elohim) performing actions through distinct, yet unified, divine expressions: the commanding Father, the spoken Word (Son/Jesus), and the active Spirit.
Interconnected Roles: Each Person plays a role in creation, demonstrating their inseparable work and shared divine nature from the very start.
New Testament Confirmation: John 1:1-3 confirms Jesus (the Word) was with God and
was God, and present at creation, and Colossians 1:16 states all things were created through Him.
