Your misinformed
Separation of church and state means that the government can't tell the church what to do and the church can't tell the government what to do
People make decisions based on their beliefs every day
Should ALL religious holidays be removed from days off ????????? (Just one example)

@pdockal You're correct. There's no way to separate someone's philosophy from their actions. Elizabeth Warren is undoubtedly inspired by her own Christian beliefs, same as Mike Pence is; they just express them in the opposite ways. What's not permitted is overt justification of policy based on religion. No one can go into the Supreme Court and argue that the Bible says something should be a certain way; they have to justify their argument through non-religious means.
It also means that there can't be any official government religion, which is why school prayer is prohibited in public schools. Unless you're a football coach who wants to hold worship services during games; that's apparently OK.
