Actually, we could make automobiles without silicon chips - but they wouldn't spy on you.

So, you can't have a car without one. Sorry.

Have you driven a car with no electronics? Looking at what SW says is your age I assume that you must have.

Compared to a modern car it is a miserable experience unless you enjoy being a part time mechanic and enjoy the added risk of dying in a skid or being unable to brake in time.

But on the assumption that what you really meant was that cars could be made without being connected to the network then I do agree with you.

As far as I know there are no cars that require a network connection, not even my Tesla.
