What is it with failing politicians and gas pumps?

Former VP Mike Pence tries to gas up his republican red truck and forgets to select the grade of gas and to squeeze the handle. Result zero gas and a very foolish looking politician.
Former Premier of Alberta Jason Kenney fuels up his conservative blue truck only to get the nozzle stuck in the filler tube and had a real struggle freeing it.

Both politicians did it to make themselves look like every day work'n men. Both of them came across looking like idiots. Kenney lost his premiership. Hopefully Pence will lose his bid for GOP candidate for POTUS.

He didn't select a grade for his fuel.

And he never actually squeezed the trigger on the handle.

@MarineBob Here in Alberta you have to pay before you pump and the payment system is right in the pump. Since I have to get out to put my pin number in the pump anyways I may as well pump my own gas.
