Is the US a force for good or evil in the world?

Mostly evil now
Evil, of course.
War in Ukraine, not acting to save the ecosystem. Nothing to reduce emissions.
NATO is Earth's greatest emitter of carbon dioxide.
It depends on whether you accept America's rights to kill us all in self defense. It's true we were going to try to change the economic system, and save the environment alive. They're simply saying "no" to the rest of us with unbeatable Military might.

@Ozuye502
China and India have much larger pollution productions
Not when we measure it per capita and since China massively produces for the global market it's understandable.
@Gloomy the USA created more carbon emissions historically than anyone - and also imposed killer lifestyles on the entire planet, even using herbicide in war.

@Roundandroundwego Lets be serious for a moment. CO2 is plant food. It is not a danger to anything. Yes the US has used herbicides as a weapon of war along with all kinds of other munitions to win its silly endless wars designed only to maintain the Military Industrial Complex.

Unfortunately it is both
@GJOFJ3 can you add them up and get a total that's not on the fence over evil? Is everyone in the USA always going to be non committal and on the fence?
GJOFJ3 · 61-69, M
@Roundandroundwego Saying that a country engages in both good and bad behavior is not fence sitting. On the whole they do more good than evil, but that doesn’t justify the evil

More good than evil. Yes sometimes sometimes you have to do evil things in the name of good.

China and India regardless of productivity and population should be made to comply with pollution requirements. it is so bad over there, I could not see the sun in Tiannemann Square. Children as young as 8 had lung cancer. Chinese money is being used to buy up the US> right under our noses

Sadly we have gone from good to evil, but our current regime is pure evil so what would you expect. 🤷‍♂️

on balance a force for good.

Compared with the other world powers which are nightmares.
