@FaithfulDamagedSoul The only part of that whole scandal that I think is actually abuse is that someone who was working for the band may have been drugging girls. But there's no evidence Lindemann or anyone else in the band knew about it. Even the main girl who came forward said that when she told Lindemann she didn't want to have sex, he just left.

I have no love for the National Socialist Workers Party, either, but I also have the capacity to view things impartially. In every war, past and present, there's always one side that's fighting to defeat something and another fighting to defend something. And the Second World War was no different. With one side (The Allies) fighting to defeat facism to defend democracy and the other side (the Axis Powers) fighting to defeat democracy and defend facism. Also in war, there has always been, and will always be one side believing it is right while the other side is wrong.

@Sidewinder I don't really see the value in taking an objective view on genocidal fascists.
Clearly the Nazis have become cartoon bad guys to this day and some nuance and real history is lost in examining them, who they were, and what they did.
But they were still genocidal fascists and I'm pretty comfortable calling them bad guys.

@CountScrofula I wasn't objectifying fascism, I was objectifying war. I've been studying history since I was 6 years old and from every aspect and I mean EVERY aspect, not just about war, but society, culture, fashion, music, aesthetics, politics, philosophy, science, technology and art. The rises and falls, the good and bad, and everything in between.

Currently watching a show based on 1920's and when Nazism started in Germany. From one day to another nazists became police and could fire all Jews from their jobs and kidnap Jews and torture them kill them and basically do whatever. Imagine someone coming to your job telling you "You're fired, you're white /hetero / black / gay/ trans /woman / man or {insert reason} and people who are don't get to keep a job"
It's so messed up. Anyone against basic respect will react if you support that.

It's more to the point that -actual Nazis- are on the rise and somehow calling this a bad thing is controversial. And more importantly, a lot of people seem very comfortable carving out safe niches for them to exist and propagate their beliefs.
