What do you think the recent murder of a Russian diplomat in Turkey by a fanatical islamic terrorist will induce Russia to do about terrorism?

Winston Churchill and FDR did not trust Stalin during WWII but they had a common enemy - the NAZIS. The Normandy invasion from the west would not have been successful without Russian action against the Nazis from the east. The Nazis simply could not afford a major war on two fronts simultaneously. Is it possible that acting in self interest the Russians will support the west in fighting to defeat ISIS. Russia is not safe either.

Hi OKWTF2. If the BBC World News Service can be believed Islamic State (also known as ISIL) is the fanatical enemy of both Iraq and Syria.

they are doing far more in Syria than most, it unfortunately props up that government who the US sort of almost wants to fall. I do not think the assassination will hurt Russia and Turkey who have managed to get together on the fight despite Turkey ambushing and shooting down their plane, what last year or earlier this year? How US policy will fit in has been a mystery ever since the red line was crossed all those years ago and chemical weapons were used.
