If you don’t want to pay back a loan, might I humbly suggest not taking ounce out?
Gloomy · F
@Human1000 you may be opposed to Trump yet you keep proving to be the same trash as any Maga cultist
Human1000 · 51-55, M
@Gloomy Shows how warped you are I’d say.

Have you kissed your Che poster today?
Gloomy · F
@Human1000 No shows how you yourself can't even reflect on the misery your belief system brings
Human1000 · 51-55, M
@Gloomy Not true, I just happen to appreciate capitalism is far superior to your Marxist nonsense.
Gloomy · F
@Human1000 I know you keep whining about how all I am advocating is marxism even when I just point to for example most other countries that makes cheap or free well funded education possible 😂
Human1000 · 51-55, M
@Gloomy When you think being a moderate Democrat like myself is the same as being a Trumpsist, you’ve gone far off the reservation into silly talk.

You also think loan forgiveness is the same as low cost higher education. You’re aren’t very bright.
Gloomy · F
@Human1000 The way both sides view social issues may be different but the outcome is still bad in both cases.

No what I am arguing here is that having to take up a loan to finance eduaction is already a huge systemic flaw on the fundamental level.
Human1000 · 51-55, M
@Gloomy Communists like you and Nazis are more similar than they are different: both advocate for totalitarian systems. I support individual rights, democracy, law, and liberty. You support systems that lead to concentration camps and famine.

What you are arguing for is “free stuff.” There’s no plan to it.
Gloomy · F
@Human1000 So far I have only advocated Social Democrat positions in this debate and overall is my ideology just a more radical form of Social Democracy.
You are one of those americans that would unironically compare Social Democracy to nazism.
Human1000 · 51-55, M
@Gloomy You just flip back back and forth when it’s convenient, and it’s boring. I don’t think Social Democracy is Nazism. You’re a fool.
Gloomy · F
@Human1000 Not necessarily no. Social Democracy originated in marxist worker parties and many things they advocate for and implement is something worth supporting.

Yes state funded education like in Germany is "free stuff" and the highest form of tyranny 😂
Human1000 · 51-55, M
@Gloomy I’m not against low cost higher education, but your insistence I am is tiresome.

@Gloomy
Why is Amerca the land of opportunity? Why has the American economy trounced economies from all over the world? Hmmm....

Eurosclerosis (German: Eurosklerose) is a term coined by German economist Herbert Giersch to describe a pattern of economic stagnation in Europe that has resulted from government over-regulation and overly generous social benefits policies. The term alludes to the medical term sclerosis.

Notice all the Americans fleeing to China to get free education?? Education is "free" in China. Just don't engage in any liberal protests in Tiananmen Sq.
Gloomy · F
@irishmolly72 In terms of the lives of a nation's population stagnation is not always bad especially when a nation has already substantially developed. Infinite growth on a finite planet and endless competition isn't the best.
Notice all the Americans fleeing to China to get free education??
I mean the nations are quite hostile towards each other and free education is not the only metric just study in Germany or countries with civil liberties.
Why is Amerca the land of opportunity?
To become wealthy and own property? Maybe but that's always a gamble and you can lose everything in the blink of an eye.
It's so childish only viewing economic growth and ignoring all the things the US is lacking behind.
irishmolly72 · 56-60, F
@Gloomy Thanks for conceding the argument about education and economic growth. That's what this discussion was about.
Gloomy · F
@irishmolly72 Sure doesn't make your position in any way defensible though.

@Gloomy
Infinite growth on a finite planet and endless competition isn't the best.
Growth doesn't just come from making more stuff. Growth can come from using existing resources in a much more efficient way.
Economic growth occurs whenever people take resources and rearrange them in ways that are more valuable. A useful metaphor for production in an economy comes from the kitchen. To create valuable final products, we mix inexpensive ingredients together according to a recipe. The cooking one can do is limited by the supply of ingredients, and most cooking in the economy produces undesirable side effects. If economic growth could be achieved only by doing more and more of the same kind of cooking, we would eventually run out of raw materials and suffer from unacceptable levels of pollution and nuisance. Human history teaches us, however, that economic growth springs from better recipes, not just from more cooking. New recipes generally produce fewer unpleasant side effects and generate more economic value per unit of raw material
