The US is in dire need of skilled labor.
For those being shut out of a college education, please consider a trade.
Construction workers, plumbers, electricians, and automobile technicians....and NONE of these jobs can be outsourced.

@JSul3 Yup. Any skilled plumber in a major US city will make 100k a year.

@Fukfacewillie Great comments. And I would add that there is nothing that precludes a skilled plumber from being a well educated individual overall. A college degree is not and should not be a status symbol of the educated class.
