@BackyardShaman I think tax payers have standing as would any parent or student who made decisions about higher education.

Most of these are actions against for-profit, privately owned schools.

@Graylight yes and the GOP propaganda leads people to think it’s all borrowers and all of the loan balances, which it is not.

@Human1000 respectfully don’t totally agree with you but I understand your points. The parents would be accessing information through the student unless the student is deceased or otherwise not of sound mind or accessible. However I don’t see our tax payers as having any reason to be harping on this; taxes are not a line item thing.

@Human1000 really I think they can complain all they want, I never said they couldn’t vocally complain about it. However, I do say still it’s none of their business. Similar to your credit card comparison, I could say that I don’t think we should be paying for Trump’s secret service detail, but technically it’s none of my business.
