The correct statement, is that the US created more rich people than any other country in human history.... and not's even close. Examples stretch all the way from the post civil war robber baron era, all the way to the tech boom, and up and including the pandemic boom.
Alas, 12% of the US lives below the poverty level, and the middle class has collapsed. Even those who can afford to eat, are seeing their life spans cut short, due to lack of health insurance, and cost of medical services.
China, on the other hand has 0% of its people living below the poverty line, and everyone has guaranteed healthcare.
I am not arguing methods or politics, just stating facts.
