Do most Americans have nothing better to discuss rather than politics?

most of you seem utterly obsessed on this site.
Just to make this clear, this thread is not a excuse for you to ramble on about your political opinions. I dont care.
I am just asking if you have nothing else going on in your lives that take higher priority? for those that only ever talk about politics, I imagine you guys live very sad lives.
There is only very few of you on here that i have noticed are not like that but for example you dont seen anyone outside of America, be as obsessed with politics. Its just weird

I don't think most of the political discussion on this site is really about politics.

I think it is about people wanting to be right, no matter what, and not accepting any other possible views.

It is about demeaning anyone who disagrees with you and treating them badly.

In my mind, it is about parroting the politicians in the US, as if they were an example to follow.

@Torsten I would not agree with that. I have had some longstanding disagreements with some online people and have learnt a lot from them. No here but other sites.

🤔 ... from my experiences on here, i've found that it's the Left that are the ones that insult usually from about the 2nd comment onwards, a lot of the time, insults fly from them from the 1st insult...

one nutjob on here insulted me with her 1st comment, when i insulted her back, these were her words:

"If i'm going to be insulted, i'm leaving"

{NO, i'm NOT joking either}

Adequately showing that Leftardism truly being a Mental Illness

My take on it is down to Cancel Culture {a Left CANCER infecting society} ... as you can watch these nutjobs getting progressively more insulting as comments keep arriving, i put it down to this Cancel Culture, as if they can't grasp WHY the Right STILL have the temerity to NOT shut up when they're effectively being told to by the Left

@Torsten ... i haven't, but i've always thought that if you go back far enough, i'm guessing that it'll be the Left that starts the ball rolling - {as i've experienced it happening so many times, that i see it as the 'norm' from the Left} i've done it once or twice, but it dawned on me i don't need to insult {i still do it anyway, mostly} as the nutjobs have Liberal Hiveminds, a bit like a robots

@BigGuy2 the radical right i mean. Seen it a bit. Certainly more common with the left for sure though. Like to a insane degree but some on the right are just as petty
