Do most Americans have nothing better to discuss rather than politics?

most of you seem utterly obsessed on this site.
Just to make this clear, this thread is not a excuse for you to ramble on about your political opinions. I dont care.
I am just asking if you have nothing else going on in your lives that take higher priority? for those that only ever talk about politics, I imagine you guys live very sad lives.
There is only very few of you on here that i have noticed are not like that but for example you dont seen anyone outside of America, be as obsessed with politics. Its just weird

I don't see this at all honestly. The vast majority of posts are not about politics.
But then, we all see different posts so it might be different for you.

@FeetAreFantastic Yeah, I think the posts we see are the types we search the most or respond to the most. Some people see ertain things all the time where others never do.

Most of what ends up in my own feed is really boring mundane crap.

@Punches Yeah, this feed promotes circle jerking. You only see posts about the same topics and the same people. It annoys me to no end because its very hard to get to see something different. And vice versa its the same in terms of exposure.

Edit: and this is regardless of which groups you follow either. I follow pretty much ALL groups but it makes no differnce.

@FeetAreFantastic One way maybe around the algorithm is make an alt acct to see what you can see. Kind of a pain though flip flopping

@Punches Hey, I hadn't even thought of that yet! They did supposedly make swiching pretty easy, but I never had any alts so far so I don't know.

@FeetAreFantastic If you do make an alt, maybe avoid posting so that nothing gets algorithm'ed and no one blocks (except those who block entire demographs)
