Is Trump's relationship with Russia based on, "If you can't beat em, join em"?

The relationship is based on a ruse (transparent to a lot of others) on the part of Russia to lull Trump with the pretense of admiration before disemboweling him...and, if they get their way, American stability.

Good for Trump's business ventures, bad for the US geopolitical strategy.
