@originnone Keep in mind, the Republicans will be trying to steal that election too. So vote, no matter what.

@BohemianBoo To be fair, it was only the real loons who tried to steal the election. Most republicans, including Pence were fine with the results.

@originnone Pence actually went along with the more sane attempts at stealing the election. He only gave up when he realized there was no chance. But since then, Republicans have enacted voter restriction laws everywhere they could. People like Pence and DeSantis are the most dangerous. Trump is fascist, but his cartoonish stupidity gets in the way.

@BohemianBoo I don't really have an issue with showing id in order to vote, but the basic premise of voter restriction is scary, as you say.

@originnone I'd be ok with voter ID laws if they were able to get people an ID by mail or something. The system now makes it much harder for poor people to get an ID, which is the real point. It's just a way to keep poor people from voting.
Then there are all the other really insane laws, like banning early voting, voting by mail, restricting the time of the day when you can vote, banning people from bringing water to people standing on line, and all that nonsense.
