Don't love Biden but he got us a giant infrastructure package, a shit ton of anti-global warming initiatives that help working families & American industry, lower prescription drug prices, and a federal law that protects marriage freedom. He got us out of Afghanistan, and has responded to the fascist invasion of Ukraine in a strong but measured way.
Also appreciate the fact that he tried to close the tax loopholes and secure pre-K for working families. He's not a dictator though, so he couldn't do that shit all on his own. Oh yeah, and he proposed a sweeping immigration bill that Congress ignored.

@caPnAhab There was a man, a wealthy man from birth who was given everything. He was known far and wide as a racists, a heartless mogul and generally a joke. He decided to grab the brass ring and become president, which he did. And while there, he improved the lives of his friends, stole money given to him be believers, divided the country and told citizens they should be loud, ugly, angry and keep out anyone they didn’t like, even other citizens.
And then cam a man with a career in public service with many accolades well published and recorded. He instituted plans to elevate all citizens and heal the rift in the country. He took a situation exacerbated with a pandemic and the anemic response to it and helped people stand on their feet again. He brought troops home. He spoke words of comfort and class when ‘others’ chose to promote themselves. He has no cruel and stupid nicknames for anyone. He loves his wife and family. He hopes for this country and was doing that well before I was born.
Two kings. One under which people felt superior but suffered greatly. One under which people saw hope and a path forward. Simple as a children’s story.

@caPnAhab If you're interested in learning about this, I recommend the following video from Hank Green about the Inflation Reduction Act. It's a big long-winded in the intro and conclusion and it only covers the start and end, but I think it's a good snapshot of his climate policy.

There's other cool stuff he did like banning the DOJ from contracting with private prisons at the federal level. The items listed above are just the hardest hitting imo.

@IM5688 The Infrastructure Investment & Jobs Act allocated $110 billion for roads, bridges, & other major projects, $11 billion for transportation safety, $39 billion to modernize existing transit & improve accessibility, $66 billion for rail, $7.5 billion for public car chargers, $73 billion for electricity transmission, and $65 billion for broadband in rural areas. If roads, trains, power, & fiber optic cable are suddenly no longer considered infrastructure, I've got no clue what still is.

@IM5688 as much as is between your ears.

@BlueVeins when is that money available ? When will the work be started, uh Indeed, has any of the work started yet, can you point me in the direction of some of the work, started or finished
BlueVeins · 22-25
@ididntknow I'd start here if I were you

Unfortunately, infrastructure projects tend to be pretty slow, especially in the US. They take a shot ton of planning, logistical support, and red tape cutting, and the bureaucratic nature of the US & all the different levels of government that have to cooperate can make that very burdensome. But projects are underway and you can read about them using the URL above.

@SW-User thank you, i was in a bad mood

@SW-User A simple question about Biden was asked and immediately you go to Trump. He’s living rent free in your empty head. I see your TDS is that strong.

Bill1372 · 51-55, M
@SW-User you make assumptions… I’m just pointing out the obvious by your post., I’m not a devoted Trump guy, but, with Biden we certainly didn’t get an improvement. He is undoubtedly senile and there’s hundreds of videos online to back up that claim.
