There's an AppleTV series called "For All Mankind" that runs a smaller what-if. It has the Russians landing on the Moon first in 1969, and Bobby Kennedy rushing back from Martha's Vineyard to deal with the fallout in the Senate. I won't give any spoilers, but there are a few nice tweaks to 1970s & 80s history.
