BOOM: DeSantis Gets Expanded Powers And More Money To Send Illegal Immigrants To Blue States

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis spoke to the Miami Police Benevolent Association on Thursday.

Elected Republicans in Florida are not allowing the border policies of the Biden administration to destroy their state.

The Florida House of Representatives voted to give Florida Governor Ron DeSantis more power to relocate illegal migrants to any state in the country.

The bill establishes the Unauthorized Alien Transport Program — and allocates $10 million to it.

The bill now heads to DeSantis’ desk where he is expected to sign the bill.

Screw him, he thinks he's doin the taxpayer a favor but why wont he just send them back to mexico?...sending them to other states does not do anything to solve the problem, he's still screwin over the US
@Tminus6453 it doesn't do anything to solve the problem but it makes the base cheer him, and obviously that's his goal.

@Tminus6453 exactly
Tminus6453 · M
@robingoodfellow Im not even sure who his base really is, democrats who are finally sick of democrat policies but are still brainwashed into hating Trump or RINO's who have always been on the fence
@Tminus6453 it's the Trump base, MAGA. It's no secret DeSantis is eyeing the White House and he's trying - and to some degree succeeding- pulling them away from Trump into his camp.

@robingoodfellow But Trump followers arnt going to abandon him for this guy...Desantis hasnt done anything but talk...and allow illegals into the country...oh and bow down to woke disney

@Tminus6453 Because immigration is a federal issue, my guess is that a state cannot deport people to another country.
Tminus6453 · M
@HoraceGreenley They may not be able to deport them but they can arrest them for illegal entry, and jail them
HoraceGreenley · 56-60, M
@Tminus6453 Yes, but then they incur the expense for a federal government abrocating its responsibilities.
Tminus6453 · M
@HoraceGreenley He just got $10million to "send them to other states"...lol....
HoraceGreenley · 56-60, M
@Tminus6453 Much less expensive that building new prisons to house illegal aliens.
Tminus6453 · M
@HoraceGreenley lol...bullshit, and even if it is, he can just get more money...but you go ahead and defend the illegals and desantis if it makes you feel better👍
HoraceGreenley · 56-60, M
@Tminus6453 so money grows on trees where you live.
HoraceGreenley · 56-60, M
@Tminus6453 I'm not defending illegal aliens. The federal government needs to do its job.
HoraceGreenley · 56-60, M
@Tminus6453 Do you have any idea what it costs to support incarcerated people?
TexChik · F
@Tminus6453 He does not have the authority to deport an illegal out of the country. That requires federal authority. His authority exists only within the state of Florida and as such he can put those illegals in his state on a bus or a plane and send them to a blue state (or anywhere with in the country) if he so desires.

@Tminus6453 If Trump loses the primary, his supporter will definitely entertain DeSantis if his policies are similar.
Tminus6453 · M
@TexChik Read the thread... already covered this .....see above

@HoraceGreenley
The federal government needs to do its job.
desantis is already doing it for them
HoraceGreenley · 56-60, M
@Tminus6453 Not at all. The illegal aliens aren't supposed to be getting in the country
Tminus6453 · M
@HoraceGreenley No shit sherlock....But desantis is sending them into the country...are we going to go around on this again?... geez, i get it, you are for the illegals...im done...👋
HoraceGreenley · 56-60, M
@Tminus6453 Why should Florida enable bad federal policy? Doing nothing is tacit approval.
