Two political activists, who sharply disagree about politics and religion, who have become close friends. They respect each other and find things in the other to admire.

I remember when US Senators could be this way!

These two are not elected officials, however.

It's always beautiful when political opinions are not in the way of friendship. My friends are Trotskyists, old-school conservatives, libertarians, and people who couldn't care less when it's about politics.
