Not looking for trolls.. but.. did anyone else think that Trump was going to pardon Snowden?

I was kind of hoping that when Trump got elected that Edward Snowden was finally going to be able to come home. But I saw some where that Trump sees him as a traitor. How do you feel about this subject?

It's a very complicated subject. What Snowden did was illegal, for sure. On the other hand, according to many people's values it may have been the ethical thing to do. But then, even if it's considered ethical doesn't mean it couldn't have negative effects on the nation. Nations often do unethical things for their own benefit. Most people accept this and just draw the line at a certain point. Where's that point though? I don't know, it's complicated. The best moral thing for Snowden to do may have been to have plead no-contest in a court of law and ask for leniency. The best practical thing for him...maybe not that.

Yeah you said it all when you said it was complicated. You know I don't even know any specifics of it. I just know he told the world that the NSA was spying on US citizens. He did say, in an online interview , that he wouldn't have done it if he didn't think he was right. He knew it was illegal. I don't know.
