It's amazing how successful the media was at painting the narrative that an entire generation were anti-war hippies. Really, the media was using hippies to fear-monger, much like today when they say all college-students are Socialists, which is a lie they've been telling since the fifties.
Hippies and Socialists were always a small minority, but the media saw/sees them as a threat.
