Rep. Dan Crenshaw (R-Texas) said the hardline opponents to House GOP leader Kevin McCarthy (Calif.) becoming the next Speaker “are enemies now.”

Crenshaw told CNN’s Manu Raju on Tuesday ahead of the Speakership vote that those dug in against the former House minority leader will “obviously” not get the committee assignments they want over their defiance, but “it’s going to be so much worse than that.”

“They are enemies now,” he said. “They have made it clear that they prefer a Democrat agenda than a Republican one.”

They said on the PBS NewsHour--I believe it was last Friday on the Brooks and Capeheart political segment, rather than this Monday on the opening political segment of the beginning of the week--that Democrats would have some interesting political theater to watch, and the White House could contrast their (and the previous Congress'!) quiet running with the chaos in the House.

Truly, a crack like [u]this[/u] in the edifice of the crazy right is welcome.

Of course, Gaetz should be in prison for treason.

@beckyromero The Nut Wing all want to be on oversight committees so they can file bullshit claims against the Biden's or Democrats in general. MTG most likely asked Kevin to continue to keep her off committees that are designated to help the public.
