This Is Not My List. But Let's Open the Floor for Debate. The Greatest 100 Americans of All-Time.

https://www.washington.edu/news/2009/12/10/100-greatest-americans/

Ike is too high, Grant is way too low (he should be in Top 10). And William Tecumseh Sherman didn't even make the cut! (nor did Gen's MacArthur and Patton).

But Al Gore's on the list? Seriously?

Three names:
Noam Chomsky
Bernie Sanders
FDR
Not necessarily in that order

@TrashCat

I'd have FDR in the Top 5 for sure.

@beckyromero Absolutely. The establishment was so afraid of his popularity that they pushed through the Constitutional Amendment 22 to limit Presidential term limits so another progressive couldn't keep winning for the people
@TrashCat Noam Chomsky? His work in linguistics was groundbreaking, but other than that, he’s just a political commentator who hasn’t really accomplished anything in that arena.

@LeopoldBloom He's still a great American, a political activist and philosopher. The OP didn't set a specific parameters to the question other than "top 100 greatst Americans". Am I correct @beckyromero?
