Why was European Democracy not as successful as the American Democracy?

American democracy unleashed full freedom which meant despotism by commoners. Religion in America checked this despotism by idealising a sense of obligation in the masses.

In Europe, the Champions of freedom attacked Religion and created a Despotism not adhering to anything. Lack of self restraint caused the demolition of Europe.

Dude's been dead for nearly 165 years. We hadn't even fought our civil war when he died.

Fast forward to 2022, and you might see that democracy is on more solid grounds in most European countries, relative to the US.
