There’s also selection bias there.
@SaoirsePrend explain
@Ryderbike It’s not randomly allocated in that minorities are more interested in joining the democrats in the first place. Demographically it’s not the same probably of someone that you mentioned being a Democrat or being a Republican
@SaoirsePrend wtf are you talking about?

I am talking about existing members of congress.
@Ryderbike Statistics really.
@SaoirsePrend yea I gave you the statistics.

83% democrat 17% Republican

What don’t you understand ?
@SaoirsePrend But out another way, it means that minorities support democrats in general so they get elected more from that party also because they support it more and join it to a higher degree. It’s called self selection
@SaoirsePrend “self selection”

Lol..so you just appoint yourself to the congress?
@Ryderbike That’s one thing, but it’s not causal. I do economics
@SaoirsePrend no you don’t do economics.You do bullshit .
@Ryderbike Just how it’s called, look it up. It’s about the causation that you are trying to hint at cannot be proven statistically/econometrically
@Ryderbike I am not even a Republican or in the US for that matter, but what I am telling you is actually colleges level statistics.
@SaoirsePrend I don’t have to prove anything,

The statement I made is accurate. 83% - 17% minorities represented in congress,
@SaoirsePrend
but what I am telling you is actually colleges level statistics.
Now what are you telling me because so far you’re not making any sense
@Ryderbike But what you don’t understand is that correlation doesn’t mean causation.
@Ryderbike I do, you just don’t understand it
@SaoirsePrend I never mentioned causation did I?

I never mentioned correlation .

I simply stated the statistics.

Do you deny the stats?
@SaoirsePrend I understand when somebody’s Spewing a word salad
@Ryderbike You’re suggesting that the Republicans are racist because they don’t elect minorities, but it is not necessarily the case if they don’t want to run for Republicans in the first place. That’s what self selection means
@SaoirsePrend where did I suggest the Republicans are racist?
@Ryderbike Not really, these terms are fairly basic and not at all esoteric if you studied it a bit
@Ryderbike But what’s the point of the post then? Why would anyone care about those stats per se?
@SaoirsePrend one more time

Where did I suggest Republicans were racist?
You’re suggesting that the Republicans are racist because they don’t elect minorities,
@Ryderbike But why did you made the post in the first place? Otherwise if it’s a completely random statistic why do you even care?
@SaoirsePrend this is what happens when you don’t think logically. You hear things in your head and you start to accuse people of things. Like you accused me. You should take a class in critical thinking ability.
@SaoirsePrend I grew up believing that information was education. The more we know the more we understand. I stated a simple fact.

But you heard something different in your head because you’re not a clear thinker
