Trump provided a statement on Friday, which was posted by Axios reporter Jonathan Swan, responding to the Fuentes drama.

“Kanye West very much wanted to visit Mar-a-Lago. Our dinner meeting was intended to be Kanye and me only, but he arrived with a guest whom I had never met and knew nothing about,” Trump said.

Who knows if Trump knew who Nick Fuentes is or if he knew in advance. Whoever his handler or chief of staff is, screwed up royally. Somebody let Fuentes in there and should have known better.

I have to say, I can't stand Ye but it's hilarious that he asked Trump to be his running mate.

@LeopoldBloom Buy some clues. Everyone who comes to see the orange traitor in his shack is thoroughly vetted by the Secret Service. He knew exactly who Nick Fuentes is, if he had been told verbally. The dummy is incapable of reading and understanding what the words mean. Remember, the dummy said that he was 70 years old before he even knew who Hitler was.

@Diotrephes Of course he knew who Nick Fuentes was. All he's doing now is plausible deniability. By having Fuentes over, he affirms his bona-fides with the alt-right, and by saying "oh, but I didn't know who he was, it was just some random guy who showed up with Ye," his cult can claim he's not a Nazi sympathizer. It's the same as Jan. 6, where he plots to overturn the election for months, then tweets "be peaceful" and his cult can point to that while ignoring everything else.
