Nixon was correct. War pushes inflation up for every country because wars always come with economic sanctions which are intended to restrict the offending country and encourage them to call a ceasefire. However that very rarely happens so everyone else pays the price of high inflation.
The trick is to get the offending nation (Russia) to pull out of the conflict. That’s not easy.
