Trump Has Asked The Supreme Court To Prevent The House From Getting His Tax Returns

The lower courts have ruled that the House is entitled to see his tax returns based on existing law that is clear on the matter.
We know Clarence Thomas will side with Trump. Justice Alito is also likely to do so. How do you think the justices will rule? Or do you think the Supreme Court will refuse to make a decision on the case and allow the appellate court ruling to stand?

So far not even scheduled for this year.

November schedule is set. Not likely to change.

If they hear it at all, they are likely to hear it just before Congress adjourns in December so that Congress can not do anything until well after New years.

@DeWayfarer The returns are scheduled to be released by Wednesday of this week unless the Supreme Court intervenes. And the Court is busy this week hearing arguments so they can overturn affirmative action. So I suspect we will hear something by then.

@windinhishair the affirmative action was announced will not be decided until June. That was mentioned on the news today.

@DeWayfarer Yes, but they are taking oral arguments today and are busy with those cases.

@windinhishair it's still October. And it's not on the November schedule. Once they make a schedule it never changes really. December is the earliest.

@windinhishair as mentioned that particular case won't be decided until June.

And "Trump Has Asked The Supreme Court To Prevent The House From Getting His Tax Returns"

Simply is not scheduled for November. 🤷🏻‍♂️

@DeWayfarer We shall see what they decide to do, if anything.
