Trump Has Asked The Supreme Court To Prevent The House From Getting His Tax Returns

The lower courts have ruled that the House is entitled to see his tax returns based on existing law that is clear on the matter.
We know Clarence Thomas will side with Trump. Justice Alito is also likely to do so. How do you think the justices will rule? Or do you think the Supreme Court will refuse to make a decision on the case and allow the appellate court ruling to stand?

@justanothername In theory, yes, but the Court recently has not followed the law, particularly in the cases of Roe v. Wade (abortion) and Heller v. DC (gun ownership). The Republican Courth majority has decided what they want to rulings to be, then worked backwardsto construct torturous legal underpinnings.

@Strictgram No one has attempted to remove the Second Amendment. That cannot be done without the approval of 3/4 of the state legislatures. But you knew that, right?

Roe was the correct and legal decision for 49 years. Only the radical right court decided to undo law and make their own.

@Strictgram Thank you for referencing the Tenth Amendment, which reserves rights not specifically mentioned in the Constitution to the States, or to the people. Since abortion isn't specifically addressed, and no laws have been passed prohibiting it, abortion is reserved as a personal decision. Unless you want the 10th Amendment repealed.
