Giving others my opinion on how everyone should vote., not so much for whom to vote for but the issues.

The “propositions” in my state are just suggestions. I miss the West Coast where the people had a say in their government.

@Graylight I don't think pure Democracy would work but in some cases direct Democracy can be a counterweight to representative Democracy. Shortly after I moved to Oregon, the state finally legalized physician-assisted suicide. The people had to vote for that three times because the legislature kept reversing it.

What if - and just hear me out on this one, Bob - but what if you simply gave others an objective overview of the issues and then let them make up their own opinions?

That's the essence of voting.

@MarineBob Which is why the valuable help of clarification. But your opinion need not enter the conversation at any point. That's influencing a voter.
