How long are we going to support the worst of us?

Herschel Walker's son, Christian, a conservative influencer, tweeted last week of his father, "You’re not a “family man” when you left us to bang a bunch of women, threatened to kill us, and had us move over 6 times in 6 months running from your violence."

That's the man you support if you're still joking about or making excuses for Walker. That kind of family man with values. The people closest in his life can't stand him right now. If you wouldn't support it from a drinking buddy, you really shouldn't support it in an elected official in charge of your life.

But don't we hate religions and especially forgiving Christians and family values?

Which is it?

@SteelHands Penitence does not come part and parcel with lying about the very experience, with denying the woman you regarded enough to create a life with, or alienating a son who will never have the luxury of knowing a loving father in his life.

Were in the Bible does it instruct anyone for forgive the sinner while the sinning is still happening? Contrition is necessary for confession and forgiveness. Every day is a new lie with Walker. You jibe the two. The fact we're even discussing a narcissistic, pathologically lying ex-athlete for a serious office of governance is an indication maybe we're not fit to run this place anymore.

@Graylight i myself know sin, and that so blurred line between contrite unremissive, struggling between rebellion against decency and a wish for my own iron will to resist temptation. There was not a straight line.

Until I brought my problems to the privacy of my own faith and begged the lord's help and mercy I admit I backslided. Though it's no surprise when someone finds no forgiveness, even condemnation. .. among they which might be more perfect (than I ) could ever seriously imagine myself.

I can now say that I'm not degenerate. And surely not a despot. If I am still a debaucherer in my heart only God could have removed , subsided, or obfuscated severest of whatever temptations that it could have been more the outside devil's than one going by my name.

Only the lord's perfection can claim to know the jib of one's heart. Only jesus is perfect. I doubt jabber otherwise.

@SteelHands No one claiming to know Herschel’s heart. We all know him by his repeated actions.

@Graylight A trying person with a shameful reputation, to most is not so big a deal as someone with a good reputation yet well hidden misdeeds who delights in helping misfits and criminals.

While I'm on the subject perhaps you can tell me why rapey chomos like Epstein and other criminals and degeneeates only vote for demoncrats?

@SteelHands He is doing nothing to redeem himself other than excusing bad behavior he continues to repeat.

I'm curious, though...if he's a contrite man worthy of forgiveness, then why aren't the others you mention? Couldn't be that "you must be this tall to love God" bullsh*t again, could it?

As for the statement itself, it would be responding to white static to even read it twice.
