Finland wants to be part of NATO, so why is their border closed against people fleeing Putin

Europe and NATO always shut people into war zones. Why?

I had no answer to this question so I looked for you. Generally, I would let you do your own research given that the answers are at your fingertips as well as mine, but I was interested enough to find this....though I'm not sure it's a real answer:

"Finland says it will "significantly restrict" Russian citizens from entering the country after President Vladimir Putin's decree announcing a partial mobilization of military reservists for the war in Ukraine triggered an exodus from Russia that has clogged its borders.

The Finnish government said in a statement on September 23 that its decision to limit the number of Russians entering the country was needed because the influx had done "serious damage to Finland's international position."

The statement gave no details on potential measures that will be taken to restrict border crossings or when they would take effect.

Reuters quoted a Finnish border guard as saying that the number of Russians trying to cross into the country appeared to have more than doubled on September 23 from the previous day, when an estimated 7,000 entered from Russia.

Finland has remained one of the few entry points into Europe from Russia since Moscow's unprovoked invasion of Ukraine in late February prompted many European countries to close their physical borders and ban Russian planes from their airspace."
@Freeranger obviously that's not a realistic or true reason. But you sure are certain that you know a lot more than I do.
Obviously you are certain of whatever you say. Nothing true there, but you win! You are entitled to lie about everything and then you win.

@Roundandroundwego You asked a question. If you ever DO decide to go back and read this for the FIRST time, you should note, based on any possible reading comprehension on your part that I categorically stated that I had NO answer to the question (which meant I knew no more than you did regarding the question), and so I went looking and asked the question on-line, and, finding an answer, I copied and pasted it FOR your benefit, also noting that "I'm not sure it's a real answer."

So, all that said, where in hell you are going with your reply borders on abyssism given the caveat in my initial response TO you.
Btw, I'm only certain of two things; death and taxes. As to lying well,......take that up with the author who wrote the piece. I merely copied and pasted it for you in an attempt to answer your question.
That won't happen again , arrogant dipstick.
@Freeranger if you read it too, then you should have noticed it is impossible, not true.

@Roundandroundwego At this point bud, I'm just assuming I attempted to help someone either who's a daily 2 o'clock drunk or someone with dementia. You clearly don't get it, but no matter. Be off to your own little European world wherever that is.
@Freeranger my world coincides with the latest EU CFR polls. I'm not short on US corporate backed pro Ukraine "reports", I just can't believe them, like most people.
