So I figured I would look into Liz Truss. Seems with the new king and with the new PM the UK is in for "interesting times".

King Charles seems to be rather progressively minded about several issues but Liz Truss and co might as well be called the "Make Britain an empire again" party. Their writings like Britannia Unchained seems like a very unambiguous manifesto for restoring Britain to it's former glory but under the Tories instead of the crown and swapping traditional colonial economy for very American style right wing economic theory.

Yikes.

Charles will be fine. He'll be clearer in his backing of a progressive agenda than the Queen was, but ultimately he won't openly interfere in UK politics.

The Britannia Unchained gang are the real concern. Trickle down economics has never succeeded in anything but making the rich richer and increasing the divide between the haves and the have nots. With the UK as divided as it's been in living memory, that's a dangerous path to go down right now... oh, and whilst Truss has some political nous, her ex-lover, Kwarteng, is completely unhinged!

Turbulent times ahead. Can imagine a Poll Tax riots-type scenario developing over the Winter/Spring.
