After Catching ‘Peeping Tom’ Outside Daughter’s Window, Father Epically Executes His 2nd Amendment Right

A Texas man who confronted a peeping Tom outside his daughter’s bedroom window this week told police he fired his gun after the voyeur lunged at him with a knife.

The incident took place around 10:30 p.m. Wednesday at an apartment complex in northwestern San Antonio.

According to KENS-TV, the daughter spotted the unknown man through her window and ran to tell her father.

The father stepped outside to confront the stranger, who produced a knife and lunged at him.

The dad told police he pulled out his handgun and fired several times, according to the report.

San Antonio police told KENS that they did not find anyone with gunshot wounds.

An aerial search by the police department’s Blue Eagle helicopter unit did not locate anyone.

San Antonio police told the local news outlet that the father is not expected to be charged.

WOAI reported that police were still investigating the incident.

The assailant was described as a bearded man in his 30s.

I would recommend some range time to learn how to hit what he is shooting at.

@Roadsterrider If he grappled with the man, it makes sense why he couldn't get a clear shot. That this guy isn't dead is testament to the fact that the father isn't a maniac who would kill some pervert outside his house with ease.

Yet, people are still complaining.

@SW-User My problem here is that if he fired multiple times where did the bullets end up? What if a stray hits something or even worse someone else?

I'd have no problem with the dad beating the man up but guns are too dangerous to be used by untrained people whose behaviour is unpredictable in stressful situations.
SW-User
@SW-User How has his behavior been unpredictable? 😂

You weren't in this situation, so you don't know how you'd respond. If this guy attacked him with a knife, he probably felt extremely threatened and *if* the guy had the upper hand (i.e came at him before he could fire shots directly at him), that would explain why he didn't hit him and why his bullets went elsewhere.

That isn't his fault because HE was the one being assaulted.

@SW-User Exactly he was not trained how to use a firearm when being directly attacked also there needs to be a psych evaluation before one can attain a gun. He could have lost control and shot around. Dodging an attack with a gun is dangerous for anyone around. To properly use a gun under pressure one needs to be trained and mentally strong. This should be ensured before one can own a gun.
It's not his fault that he was put in this situation I'm just saying that other implements can be used that are less destructive.

@SW-User Yeah, he should have dropped the gun and then go inside for a knife🙄
SW-User
@Slade I'm arguing why he owned a gun in the first place.
What happened is just one example out of many. I believe mace, a knife, throwing stones... all better than a gun.
SW-User
@SW-User There is no preparation for how to respond when an armed perv comes to your house to potentially harm your child, lol.

This guy is obviously very dangerous and so was probably aggressive, which (as previously said) points to him physically overcoming the father during the attack. As the father would've feared for his life, he shot the gun hoping it would stop his intrusion and subsequent attack.

It actually worked, because he left. Had he not been armed it could've been a very different story. And, had he used his gun with the intent to kill we would probably have a dead perpetrator...which according to you is a bad outcome.
