I met a cool dude from England.
He showed me either an app or site on his phone. He said anyone can suggest an idea for the government. If you get 10,000 likes on your idea, the parliament has to address it. Now obviously it doesn't mean they're going to vote in favor of your idea, but at least they are on record for NOT voting for your idea. I thought that was brilliant.
Let me give you an example of something that happened in my city. This was our liberal mayor.
We had a pothole the size of Montana. He refused to fix it. Some creative lad created a Facebook page for the pothole. The pothole became famous, and had more likes/followers than the worthless mayor.
Soon the pothole made the news. The first pothole in history with its own Facebook page.
Now the mayor was so embarrassed, that he had to fix it. It's sad that it had to come to that, but it worked.
