How Stupid Do You Have To Be?
To regurgitate an extremist media source's claims about taxes for 2021, declaring it a disaster under Biden, without actually trying to compare it the Trump regime.
The claim is that using mean figures for income, vs taxes paid, Americans paid more in taxes than they did on food.
To put things into context, and using the department of labor statistics figures (same referenced by the post):
Income - Income after taxes - percentage in taxes - year
87432 - 78743 - 9.938009 - 2021
84352 - 74949 - 11.147335 - 2020
82852 - 71487 - 13.7172307 - 2019
78635 - 67241 - 14.489731 - 2018
73573 - 63606 - 13.5470893 - 2017
So, using "mean", Americans paid far lower taxes under Biden, than they did under Trump, but somehow the dimwits think Biden is taxing them to death, and the irony is that the media source that made the claim, had an actual link to the data: https://www.bls.gov/cex/tables/calendar-year/mean/cu-all-detail-2021.pdf
Here's a hint: change 2021 to 2020, 2019, 2018 and 2017, and you get the full picture.
