Well, the Brexit drag on their economy might well prompt the Scots to begin uncoupling from the UK by applying for entry into the EU...and finally voting for independence.
They might well remain a "realm"...but the St. Andrew's cross & blue background would be extracted from the current flag and there would be no reason to have the St. Patrick's cross incorporated in an asymmetric fashion. So a white field with intersecting red crosses of St. George & St. Patrick.
