I don’t think anyone will accept camilla as queen and they’ll probably throw pears and fruit at her on the street, he seems too sweet and bookish to be a king. I know his son William has been dying to be a king since he was a child, but I don’t think he’s up for it either. It’s making me realise Lizzie really had what it took to be queen - stoic, calm under pressure etc. I think she was too unemotional and stiff though and I hope the new monarchy has more humanness and warmth, and is also more interesting - they’re all so boring. I really adore royalty and nobility and believe in divine descent, the royals in earlier history were much more interesting.

You realize that the "divine right of kings" was HRVIII's dodge to be able to divorce, marry, and screw as he wished in his quest for an heir, right? He needed to get out from under the control of Rome, so he created the Church of England as the latest "True" Catholic Church, with himself at the head & the Archbishop of Canterbury as the highest Lord Spiritual...
