Judge dismisses lawsuit over man killed after pro-Trump rally in Portland

Judge found that the city and the mayor took no specific action that placed Danielson in greater danger on Aug. 29, 2020. She dismissed the lawsuit’s due process and negligence claims.

Danielson, who was wearing Patriot Prayer hats, a far-right violent group based in Vancouver, WA, was shot by Michael Reinoehl.

Michael Reinoehl was executed by Federal troops, several days later, in Washington State, under direct orders from AG Barr.

Not really familiar with how it all happened, but I did google and notice that no one seems to dispute that Trump claims to have sent Federal agents in "to get" Reinoehl.

On the other hand, Reihoehl evidently admitted in an interview that he killed Danielson. He claims it was sefl-defense. The Feeds claim THEY shot Reinoehl in self-defense. We'll probably never know the whole truth. :)

Whatever the exact facts are, a total mess and a sad reminder about just how Trump's demagoguery has lead to violence in our country.

This was never in dispute. The genesis is a MAGA call to arms, the Proud Boys and other MAGA terrorists called for, with a gathering point right outside Portland, then they formed an armed convoy, and descended on Portland, where they proceeded to terrorize and intimidate.

Reihoehl initially started trailing Danielson, and what followed next, is open to interpretation. Reihoehl is not a model citizen or a father, but Danielson was also armed, and was using his bear spray on people.

Reihoehl was interviewed by Axios, while in hiding. Trump ordered Barr to execute him, and that's what Barr did. Eyewitnesses to the execution, all stated that Reihoehl was fired on, as he got to his car, as part of an ambush. Hundreds of shots were fired by the Feds, hitting multiple apartments in the complex, and nearly missing civilians in their apartments.
