Do u believe that Donald Trump is going to be a one term President ?

I think he will survive this for the next 4 years and be reelected. I don't think that the establishment wants any more one term Presidents unless it is really necessary. But they say he is too unconventional. Too aggressive. And too blunt. What do you think. I hope he does well, Mr. Trump. What do you think world.
Is he going to be a one term President. Yes, or no. 馃檪

My prediction (which is worth less than nothing at this point) is that he will be impeached by congress so that they can install the far more stable, and evil Mike Pence into the job.

I have heard a few people say this. Trump may be impeached in the next 4 years. We will see.

@Zonuss: I don't know why you guys keep talking about impeachment. Impeachment begins in the House of Representatives which is solidly Republican. The Reps are NOT going to vote to impeach Trump unless he commits mass murder or unless the Democrats, by some miracle, win a majority in the House in 2018 (that ain't happenin' either). Additionally, all impeachment means is that the president is being charged with a crime. It's like an indictment. Two presidents (Andrew Johnson and Bill Clinton) have been impeached. To be removed from office, two-thirds of the Senate would have to vote affirmatively on the charges of impeachment. That is 67 out of 100 Senators. No president has ever been removed by vote of the Senate and neither will Trump if events ever get that far. Like it or not, you're stuck with Trump at least until January of 2021, more likely, January of 2025, unless he dies in office.

@LedRobster: You never know. Half of the Republicans don't like Trump. And if he screws up their resolve, they will bury him. 馃檪

@Zonuss: Maybe, but I wouldn't bet money on it.

Pence is less evil than Trump. You cant be serious.

@Zonuss: It depends on how you look at it. If you are mostly disturbed by Trump's temperament and seeming lack of morality, then you'd rather have Pence as president. However, if you are repelled by the policies of the Republican Right on matters like gay rights, abortion, gun availability, and expansive military policy abroad, you might prefer Trump over Pence. Pence is a veteran and much more doctrinaire conservative than Trump and would probably support more policies that you would be uncomfortable with.

Also, if Trump self-destructs as many seem to think, the Democrats might prefer to run against him in 2020 than Pence.

As I said elsewhere in this thread, you are living in la-la land if you are expecting Trump to be impeached in the House and convicted in the Senate. It would take Republicans turning on him en masse which is possible, of course, but not likely.

Personally, I'd be very content with a President Pence, but I'm a conservative mouth breather, so what do I know?

@LedRobster: What if things don't work out and his approval ratings are low. And what if Nikki Haley decides to run up against him. Let me remind you that she is in his cabinet as the UN ambass.

@Zonuss: For all those who think Trump is crazy like a wild-eyed maniac, he might turn out to be crazy like a fox. I'm old enough to remember what the Dems thought of Ronald Reagan when he was elected in 1980. You'd have thought the apocalypse was neigh. I think the biggest mistake Trump's detractors will make is underestimating him.

Right now he's holding all the cards in the Republican party with even the people who said "Never Trump" supporting him.
