Jobs are at the level they were before the pandemic. The big difference is less Americans actually want to work today. As far as wages, as Bernie Sanders pointed out, real wages, adjusted for inflation, are less than they were 50 years ago. It was easier to own a home 50 years ago than it is today and Americans didn't have to go into debt for 40 years to do so.
