@JohnOinger He has to pay money for saying it was a hoax? That's ridiculous. He has opinions, that's what he's paid for. Controversial opinions. He shouldn't have to pay them a cent, imo.

@Belladonna No, it's much more than that. He has convinced his loyal followers that the mass shooting was a hoax, that it was all crisis actors, and this was all an attempt to enact gun control. The parents of the murdered children were even receiving death threats from Jones's cult like followers.
No, it was way beyond merely having an opinion. And actually, they went way too easy on him.

@windinhishair @TheSentinel Oh yes, because blaming him for what his crazy fans do makes perfect sense. He's just a deep pocket. You should be ashamed. The people who made the threats should be the ones on trial.

The perjury should be addressed, though.

@Belladonna You are free to support someone who is immoral, disgusting and criminal who deliberately causes deep pain and suffering for others and feel good about it. Do you realize that if you yell "FIRE" in a crowded theater, even though you know there is no fire and few exits, and people trample and kill others rushing to the exits, you are liable for the deaths and injuries your words caused? This is the exact same principle in action. Personal responsibility for one's own words and actions is codified into law, which was justly used to prosecute and convict Jones. He is facing at least two other trials in Connecticut for doing the same thing to other grieving families, as well as a perjury trial and, if reports are correct, yet another for child porn found on his phone.

You are the one who should be ashamed. But you won't.

@Belladonna Yes, he is responsible for inciting his cult followers to making threats against people whos children were brutally murdered.. But seriously, you should do some research on him before you blindly throw your support his way. It might be an eye opening experience for you.
