I think it's possible that every state will be its own little cult someday.

We'll have factions within factions within factions of every political party and then eventually the United States will devolve into small territory countries lol.

I definitely don't think that what is currently the US will still be a single nation in the future.

We're probably looking forward to the Balkanization of North America (assuming the human species still exists in 100 or so years).

Our species has had hundreds of thousands of years of evolution to eradicate stupidity, and so far it has not happened, which would seem to indicate that it never will happen. We've evolved as far as we can, and we're still a detriment to the planet and the other 99.99% of life on it.
