Waiting for that same idolatrous worship Trump got for the same thing

U.S. employers added a booming 528,000 jobs in July as the labor market continued to defy soaring inflation, rising interest rates and a slowing economy. The unemployment rate from 3.6% to 3.5%, matching a 50-year low, the Labor Department said Friday. Economists had estimated that 250,000 jobs were added last month, according to a Bloomberg survey.

Waiting for the ‘buts’ and ‘whatabouts’…

Great as this economy is.......this is one of the prime reasons we have inflation. More working....for higher wages than ever.....means people have more cash to spend. The down side of a super hot economy....caused by more working so they have more money to spend......is inflation. To cure inflation......sad as it is.....will be to slow the economy...to stop companies from expanding......so they cannot hire more people and in fact lay off workers. When unemployment goes up........spending slows. When spending slows....companies get it that they can't keep raising prices to gouge us. Prices drop to "normal" levels for goods...gasoline.......consumer goods......and that is the end of inflation. The cure to inflation is to make the economy worse.............crazy as that sounds.

@anythingoes477 Yes it sounds crazy 😏
I think a lot of countries would love to have your problems...
southbeachguy · 46-50, M
You are just not very smart, we are at similar unemployment and U6 numbers and all that as Trump. Inflation ran 2.5% to 1.7% with Trump. It shows stupidity to say that we have inflation just because we have a 3.6% unemployment rate. @anythingoes477

Now tell me what years we had soaring inflation and which years we had super low unemployment?
@anythingoes477
southbeachguy · 46-50, M
I am pretty sure the 4 years of Trump had low inflation, and the first 3 years of Trump had fantastic employment.
southbeachguy · 46-50, M
Tell me if I am wrong Biden has 2 years of great employment, and 2 years of bad to horrible inflation?
@helenS Like everything....too much of a good thing can be bad. People say Biden has a lousy economy because prices are inflationary. But no Republican says "WHY" Biden has a lousy economy. They understand that more wages...more people working is a good thing. But they also know if they do not find fault with Biden...they don't win elections. Republicans know they cannot diss low unemployment......or better wages making people more prosperous. So they feed stupid people the idea that despite ur now working and making more and your family has more spendable cash now that ever before........don't look at that. Instead look at the end result of you doing so well. The second thing you never hear is a Republican solution to inflation. Not one candidate for any office....state or federal has ever said anything about what they would do to bring inflation under control...........other than "open the pipeline"---which is a do nothing suggestion. They know the only suggestion that will work........is to make the economy worse. And who is going to say "elect me and I'll make the economy suck"?
southbeachguy · 46-50, M
Just to point out Obama had terrifically low inflation numbers coming out of a horrible recession in 2009 all the way through his presidency .
@southbeachguy Yes......but not the same dynamic. Wages had not gone up to give people more spendable cash like now. Wages under Obama were stagnant at $7 an hour. Now its twice that. So people under Obama did not have the cash to fuel out of control spending like now. Also no Ukranian War to spike fuel prices. Also Bush crashed the housing market so counting repos and over building of homes that were not selling because of the credit problems.........so Obama did not have high fuel costs and bidding wars on homes. Prety much a totally different ballgame.
southbeachguy · 46-50, M
You honestly puzzle me. Your answer to why none of our economic recoveries of the past 40 years have had inflation of even 4 percent and now we are looking at 10 percent is?@anythingoes477
southbeachguy · 46-50, M
Why also claiming Trump should get blame for the unemployment and Biden should get credit for the employment recovery now?
@southbeachguy Trump had NO problem claiming his unemployment figures was ALL his doing.......even thought they were much, much worse than now. Trump had no problem claiming HE had the highest market ever............even though he didn't do anything to cause that....and his market high was much much lower than it is now. When Trump claimed credit for anything.........you all cheered. But now if Biden does it........OH! MY! GOD! WHAT GIVES HIM THE RIGHT TO DO THAT???

Can you say..........."hypocrite"???
southbeachguy · 46-50, M
Whatever your hate of Trump supporters I am not exactly one. I love a debate about policy, I am a cheerleader of no living politician in America. If your angst is with a president taking undeserved credit, I will ask you to list some things Biden, Obama, Bush, Clinton took credit for that annoyed you. Otherwise your just spouting Trump hate without being a fair minded person.@anythingoes477
@southbeachguy Economics puzzle you.......dynamics in play that affects the economy puzzle you......not me.
southbeachguy · 46-50, M
@anythingoes477 IF YOU NEED ME TO SAY Donald Trump IS A HYPOCRITE LYING MISERABLE PERSON.
THUMBS UP I JUST DID FOR YOU!
helenS · 36-40, F
@southbeachguy Please let me say that Americans will have to learn again the power of pulling together as a team.
@southbeachguy You are kind of like a guy that goes to a gun fight....with a knife. You don't comprehend even the basics ....but you ask for specifics. No time for this with you. Read a book on the economy...then we'll chat.
southbeachguy · 46-50, M
Wha does that even mean, the only time we do that is during war. I have had enough wars to bring us together for my lifetime. Americans need to learn to elect leaders who have better policy ideas. I really do not care if they are drug addict, lying, cheating bastards who kick their dog. Please bring sound policy and do not deficit spend among other things. @helenS
southbeachguy · 46-50, M
@anythingoes477 You are a fuckingggggggg piece of shit!
southbeachguy · 46-50, M
The board is happy to vote which of us had better ideas.
@southbeachguy And you are an undereducated YouTube expert on nothing.
southbeachguy · 46-50, M
Yeah and ask questions that you can not answer. By the way any adult with a peace symbol is a fucking idiot idealist.@anythingoes477

@southbeachguy You are so tunnel vision one dimensional in your thinking that telling you why inflation exists now is someting ur incapable of grasping. Your "chart" makes no mention of any factor other than employment figures. No mention on how world wide inflation is affecting us. No mention of increased wages. No mention of the war in Ukraine affectiong gasoline prices...fertilizer prices...grain price increases. No mention of tge pandemic and how that has affected inventory or supply chain issues. No mention of gouging. No mention of increased pricing in lumber to build more homes...apartments. You are clueless.
