Al Qaeda Leader Ayman al-Zawahiri Killed by US Drone Strike in Afghanistan

The AP and Politico are reporting that al Qaeda leader Ayman al-Zawahri was killed this weekend. al-Zawahiri was most likely the target of a U.S. drone stike in Kabul this past weekend.

Al-Zawahiri took over al Qaeda after Osama bin Laden was killed in Pakistan in a U.S. raid in 2011.

I expect Biden to announce a formal apology to Al Qaeda as soon as he finds Al's lost phone number.

@helenS No doubt about that, but we Americans need to be very mindful of and appreciate they ( those this government has and will target) are formidable, have in their varied ways, “over the horizon” capabilities and we have experienced them. And one does not need to do their deed(s) via drones.

@Budwick That’s why school boards have some gnome sitting off , waiting unseen, somewhere during these meetings who gets “ zapped” and instinctively hits the “ “kill the mic ” button. Those fucking parents! Make no mistake, they’re on the Teacher unions’ shit lists and on Garland’s radar.
