Are You Willing To Risk China Shooting Down Nancy Pelosi's Plane?

If Pelosi would proceed with her trip as scheduled, her position as current House speaker would make her among the most senior officials to ever make a diplomatic visit to the island.

No House speaker has visited Taiwan since Newt Gingrich in 1997.

China says they don't want Pelosi to go. China also says they own Taiwan. No one else agrees with that.

So, what do you think? Should Nan go to Taiwan?

I doubt the Chinese would risk shooting down an aircraft carrying her, either military or civilian. They risk losing too much on the world stage. It might possibly result in a major conflict.
My questions are: Is the administration actually sending her to do their bidding?
Joe and Xi are, if not already done, to speak, so that might have intended or unintended consequences. Is it in Biden’s power to stop her and delegation from going?
If she goes what is the purpose and intended outcome?
